Atlanta History Center presents: Southern Music (download)

$7.99

On May 7-8, 2009 the prestigious Atlanta History Center held their annual concert, "Southern Music Shaken & Stirred" where three artists had been invited to perform. The task was to honor the rich history of Blues and Southern music in a display of fresh, original songs. The three artists chosen for this honor were the great and legendary Francine Reed; internationally-acclaimed bluesman Daniel "Mudcat" Dudeck (who is also on the Board Of Directors at Music Maker Relief Foundation); and Nick Edelstein.

Band lineup includes Andy Margolis on keys and harmonies, Richard Shaw on sax, John "Khaleefa" Bell (former Stax player) on drums, and Frank Lisco on bass.

This is a live recording captured on a single microphone placed in the room; it's as close as you can get to having been there yourself!
